Saturday, June 3th, 2023 is our annual Jack Lake Crazy Eights Mountain Bike Race is part of the WEMS- Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series. Register at wemseries.com. Get your friends together for a team, or go for it solo. Under 18/ Juniors race FREE! Bike race course is 11.25 miles long and 95% singletrack on fast flowing trails. The trails are not super technical, but definitely aerobic! Lap times will be about an hour and a half. Register online or day of registration will be open at 7am. Start times are as follows: Long Race (10 Hour): 9am start – final lap must be finished by 7 pm. Categories: solo, duo, open team Mid Race (6 Hour): 11am start– final lap must be finished by 5 pm Categories: solo, duo Short Race (3 Hour): 1pm start– final lap must be finished by 4 pm Categories: solo, duo, junior Awards will be at noon. There will be food for sale onsite. Sale will benefit the Antigo School District. Make this race a weekend long trip! The Jack Lake mountain bike trails are located inside fantastic Jack Lake Campground at Veterans Memorial Park in Langlade County. There is swimming in beautiful Jack Lake just a short walk from the race pit area and group campsite, a disc golf course and a very nice shower facility. There is also the 1/3 mile Jack Rabbit mountain bike loop to keep the kids busy. We have a group campsite reserved with room for some participants on a first come first served basis, or you can reserve your own spot online now. Directions: Take Hwy 45 north of Antigo about 15 miles to Hwy J. Go East on J about 3 miles to the park. |

Saturday, June 3, at 9am is our inaugural Jack Lake Crazy Eights Trail Run. Distance is about 10k/ 6.5. Follow the same punchy and flowy trails as the mountain bikers. This will require a different registration than the race, register at runreg.com. Race course is all singletrack with good tread and wide enough for comfortable running. The terrain is rolling hills and aerobic! The race is being run between races of the Jack Lake Crazy Eights Mountain Bike Race – the timing of the start is such that you should see few riders if any.
